Path of Histroy

Path of History “Hanta Michi” (Hanta Road) was constructed during the Gusuku era (between 12th and 15th century). This old thoroughfare stretches from Shuri to Katsuren, going through Kouchi Castle in Nishihara Town and Nakagusuku Castle in Nakagusuku Village. Many cultural properties remain along this road.
